Drive 1 drive slot sensor drive fault detected

I have a RAID 1 setup for my OS (server 2003). One of the drives is reporting the following error: drive slot sensor drive fault detected. What steps should I take to resolve this? Can I just reseat the drive and see if that resolves the issue or will I lose all my data? Slot sensor drive fault detected. What does it mean? Mean drive is offline, does not means the HDD is damaged but is no longer detected, however could be related to a physical component. Try run diagnostics, make sure it pass and just rebuild it if it fails or does not rebuild properly contact Dell to avoid data lost.
